City of Adelaide

£95.00
sold out

City of Adelaide is a clipper ship, built by William Hay and Company in Sunderland, and launched on 7 May 1864. The ship was commissioned in the Royal Navy as HMS Carrick between 1923 and 1948 and, after decommissioning, was known as Carrick until 2001. Built to transport goods and passengers between England and Australia, the ship is the subject of controversy when it was sent to Australia after lying in state of disrepair in Scotland.

This artwork is hand sprayed + screen print, from a small run, this is the last one available, I have no plans to make any more, each print/painting is unique.

The print is taken from a mural Frank painted for the tall ships event in Sunderland.

Size: SRA2: 640mm x 450mm
